I had a 90-minute session with James over the weekend. I was a bit nervous going in, but his calm wairua and genuine care quickly put me at ease. He was professional, warm, and reassuring. James was intuitive and respectful, working with real awareness of balance and hauora, and a clear sense of manaakitanga in the way he held space. I left feeling relaxed, grounded, and cared for. I’ll definitely be back.

James is a really good masseuse using a mix of Shiatsu and other techniques to offer a very generous amount of considerate energy and time to the person he is working with. He engages in whakawhanaungatanga in a lovely way to build a relaxed connection and uses so much of himself to provide the best possible experience. I will definitely go again and would recommend James to anyone wanting some strong safe body work

From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed — James created a warm, safe space that immediately invited connection and trust. I really appreciated the key prompts throughout the session, with clear direction on how to be part of the process rather than just a recipient.
What unfolded was a deeply holistic and scaffolded experience — with energy flow, stretch, release and grounding — where I could soften, surrender and allow my body to respond. It felt like a true partnership between practitioner and participant, guided by James’s intuition, presence and skill.
I left feeling lighter and deeply shifted in ways that are hard to put into words. So grateful for the care and energy that went into the session. I’ll definitely be going back.

I had the most incredible holistic body work experience this weekend. I am still floating 24 hours later and seem to have this energy running through me that isn't usually there. Parts of my body that are usually so tight and sore to lie on, for example, my right hip, were at complete ease last night as I rested on the couch on my side with NO issues. I can't wait to come back in a couple of weeks!
